Telemark for beginners:

This beginners telemark skiing course is where your free heel journey starts. No prior telemark skiing experience is required to sign up for a Telemark Beginners course, but we do ask that you have an advanced alpine skiing standard; ie. strong on Black Diamond runs.

You will make your first tele turns in a controlled environment and start to produce easy flowing linked turns down the mountain. Initially this will be on the beginner slopes. After some mileage we will transition to more advance terrain.

Like all technical sports, beginner telemark lessons make a huge difference to your progression, even if you're a strong alpine skier. Make the most of your time on the snow with some top level telemark coaching to quickly progress past the beginner telemark phase and experience the greater Killington area's backcountry.

Feedback sessions will include a high level of personal feed back on the hill and video feedback during the course.

Intermediate Telemark Course

For telemark skiers who can link basic turns on easier terrain and who want to hone their skiing.

You will improve your technique including smoothing out the lead-change to enable you to turn easily when and where you want, and as a result you'll feel more at home all over the mountain. We'll aim to start carving and getting more out of your skis while progressively taking on steeper challenges.

At this stage this course focuses on developing sound technical movements. As long as the correct technique is acquired, you'll start to telemark faster but with less leg burn and you'll be able to ski for longer.

Feedback sessions will include a high level of personal feed back on the hill and video feedback during the course.
